I would like to thank and pay tribute to the doughty crew of the OSAC for single-handedly driving up the foreign currency reserves of our tiny island through their lengthy and most esteemed patronage. Senor Pedro Costalot of the Gomera Tourist Office. PS.For Mike: Chris & Mum join me in wishing you a very merry Christmas and a successful New Year (esp. in January!). Great to hear your voice on the phone. 3 on & 2 off sounds like seriously hard work to me! We really did sympathise with you all waiting for the start. I'm given to understand the very first few days of rowing are the worst, after that it becomes, well, um, er, less worse! Hang in there. Love, Dad.
Happy Christmas team Oyster Love Shack! Alright there bruv! You sounded pretty shagged when you phoned up earlier. It's this first bit that's the worst though and you know as well as I do that you'll be in the trades soon (at the pace you're going that won't be long) and then onto Antigua! For the next 24 hours you must exit the cabin with a very camp Ben Foglesk "ANTIGUA HERE WE COME!" teehee! Go well mate you're an absolute legend. All the best to Chalky and the rest of the Oyster Shack team. Chris M
Best of luck to Ben and his mates. My son Anthony used to play football with Ben in the Guiseley Dynamo team and he was a human dynamo then in the midfield. We have just had Christmas dinner and all the family send their best wishes for a speedy and safe crossing. Regards from Eugene Anna Emma Anthony and Suzy Farry
God speed, may the wind be in your face and the current strong! If you see 'Spirit of Fernie' give Paul a wave for me. Let's bring the record back to Blighty, where it belongs. Don from Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada
