Congratulations George and all the crew on crossing the half way line. Fantastic news and hopefully time and miles will fly past in the second half. Thinking of you and willing you on. Philip, Angela, Will and Tom Marsden.

Dear crew member (Mike) Martin. It is not my trip, but I do admire all of you. Wish I could have joined you in swimming half way. Keep going. Zet hem op witte muizen, i.e be of good courage. Cheerio Povel family from Holland
Well done George. You are going very well but obviously need the right sea and wind. You look on course to match or beat the old record, but will La Mondiale set a new one, and can you beat that too? Looks very close so let's hope the weather is in your favour. Fatigue from such regular shifts must be absolutely exhausting.
True grit comes to mind. Uncle Nic
Mike - Simon here from Liquid Leisure. Sorry I couldn't get sponsorship organised but wishing all the best for the record mate! Keep going, the weather's ghastly here so you're not missing anything! See you in a couple of months at the lake....Simon (2XU) Jones
Watching the race from the beginning, I note everyone's numbers fall and I still marvel at what you're doing. What a great reality show! Donald Trump would be proud, I'm sure. By reading the newsletters and messages on the web I get a glimpse of just what all of you are encountering and I shake my head in amazement. With each hour and each stroke that you do, that finish line becomes closer, and that beer becomes colder! Keep it up one and all, and as in any reality show I have my favourites too - Oyster Shack for starting late and becoming the comeback boat, and to the Spirit of Fernie for inspiring more Canadians than ever. ( Paul it's - 30 C right now in the center of Canada, and 6 C in Vancouver, so you see Canadians are rough and tough and we handle it all just like you do. Go Canada Go! Pam Tonsaker
Oyster Shack- It's brilliant watching u overtake the other boats one by one, two last night! George I'm counting the days till Antigua. Looks like we'll have to crack open the champers for your record breaking victory! Am crossing fingers and toes for helpful weather, keep taking the ibuprofen your muscles can recover in 2 weeks! xxSally Cornwell
Oyster Shack - what a cracking Sunday's row - 90 miles and a substantial few days before too - brilliant!! I can only imagine the effort involved (actually I can't) but try to keep it up AND enjoy it !!! You're missing nothing here. Filthy weather this weekend (snow drifts in Gloucestershire!) and not a lot better on the horizon! I bet you can smell the Caribbean and the record really is now in sight. Wishing you 100% the best winds & weather and hoping all rears are back on form!! Everyone's thoughts are with you, take care, Roo. Rupert Oliver
