Hi everyone on Oyster Shack - sending you more good wishes and letting you know that we are all willing you along. Watching the miles to your target click down is amazing - the efforts you are putting are superhuman. So sorry to hear about the rudder trouble - must have been so frustrating to lose those hours waiting for day light before completing the repair. As with many of the other comments - remember what you are achieving, a crew of 5 that should have been 6 doing battle over a huge distance to shoot down records set by bigger boats with crews more than twice your number. Keep up the pace, glory is not far away now. You WILL be heroes....good speed to you all. Best regards, Pete Dickason

Hard luck about the rudder but we are thinking of you and willing you all on! Getting very close now. Last few days' supreme effort and you will be there. With you in spirit

Philip, Angela, Will and Tom

Hi Guys. Just started following your journey after reading about the challenge in the local paper! I'm also studying at UWE, like George, and am doing my first year of rowing for the Varisty Novice 8. Remember - pain is just weakness leaving the body. All the very best for beating the sculling record.

George - it'd be fantastic if you'd be willing to give a talk about your experience to the University boat club at some point!

The suns come out today for the first time in 2008, but otherwise it's all same old same old in Angleterre. Cheers, Jonny Elliot

George - well done mate for getting to the home stretch, not much further now, I think you have done a great job so far and now you just have to finish it off!! I will see you when you get back, but have a good relax in Antigua! Alistair Clarke

Well   Chobham and Sunningdale are keeping in touch and send their family-support to the boys. If they haven't fallen out with each other (or the boat) during this amazing exercise they will have a lot to offer to the lecture circuit on 'Leadership' or similar.  Step down Tony Blair! Best wishes from the Glazebrooks (busy bailing out a mere houseboat).
