Oyster Shack Crew Prepares for New Record Attempt
( Last Updated: 11-12-2007 )
Andy Morris’s knee injury was sufficiently bad for him to decide to return to the UK over the weekend. He will not now be a member of the crew and there are no plans to recruit a sixth member.
The five man crew, Simon Chalk (skipper), Ian Couch, Mike Martin, George Oliver and Ben Thackwray know that the boat is fast. They also know that it goes just as well with five up as they completed a very successful twenty four hour row from Weymouth to Torquay last month with a five man crew. So confidence remains high and the crew is hoping that the favourable “weather window” opens up as expected over the coming weekend.
If you wish to send good wishes to the crew, ask them a question or make a comment, please use the Contact page elsewhere on this website. All your comments are passed on to the crew and they are greatly heartened by the support that they have received so far.
